Hideyoshi's rise to power began in 1558, when he joined the forces of Oda Nobunaga, another powerful daimyo. Hideyoshi quickly proved himself to be a capable warrior and a loyal follower, and he soon became one of Nobunaga's most trusted generals. Together, they fought in a series of battles that led to the conquest of many other daimyo, and by 1582, they had effectively unified all of central Japan.

After Nobunaga's death in 1582, Hideyoshi fought a series of battles against other daimyo who sought to fill the power vacuum. He eventually emerged victorious, and in 1590, he was declared the Taiko, or "Great Lord," of Japan. As Taiko, Hideyoshi implemented a series of reforms that helped to stabilize the country and promote economic growth. He also led a series of military campaigns to expand Japan's territory, including invasions of Korea in 1592 and 1597.

Hideyoshi died in 1598, but his legacy lived on. He was a visionary leader who helped to shape the course of Japanese history. His reforms laid the foundation for the Edo period, which was a period of relative peace and stability that lasted for over 250 years.
