Sarah shivered as she stepped into the old cemetery. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. Moonlight cast an eerie glow on the ancient tombstones, their weathered faces whispering tales of centuries past.
She had come to search for her sister's grave, but as she walked among the crumbling stones, a strange feeling came over her. It was as if the darkness itself was alive, watching her every move.
Suddenly, she heard a faint whisper in the wind. It seemed to call her name, beckoning her deeper into the cemetery's shadowy depths.
"Who's there?" Sarah called out, her voice trembling.
But there was no answer. Only the sound of her own heart pounding in her chest.
She pressed on, drawn by an irresistible force. As she approached the far end of the cemetery, she noticed a large oak tree, its gnarled branches reaching up towards the moonlit sky.
Beneath the tree, there was a small clearing. And in the center of the clearing was a solitary grave.
Sarah's breath caught in her throat as she realized who was buried there. Her sister's name was etched into the tombstone, the letters worn and faded.
She knelt beside the grave, her tears flowing freely. As she reached out to touch the cold stone, her fingers brushed against something strange.
It was a small, black feather. Sarah picked it up and examined it closely. It was unlike any feather she had ever seen before. It was smooth and iridescent, with a strange, almost metallic sheen.
As she turned the feather over in her hand, she felt a surge of power coursing through her body. It was as if the feather itself was alive, pulsing with ancient energy.
Suddenly, the darkness around her seemed to close in. The wind picked up, howling through the trees. Sarah could hear voices whispering in the shadows, calling her name.
Fear gripped her heart as she realized that she was not alone in the cemetery. The witches of Palmetto Point had found her.
